Community Web Announces Even More Powerful Communication Tools

Community Web has introduced another upgrade to its powerful neighborhood and PTA web portal software. The Egroup Page, which allows members to create email groups for their own community or across communities, now has a number of useful new features to resolve common problems with email list serves and email broadcasts.

You Choose!

-Your administrators and users can now select web based email at the community site OR email program-based communications. You no longer have to visit your community website to send email after you join a group. You now have the option of EITHER sending from your email program/web mail, OR going to the site and sending mail as before.

Too much Traffic?

-Those creating new groups can now choose to moderate a group so that they can determine which messages should reach the whole group.

-List subscribers can choose to filter Off Topic email messages. When a subscriber sends out an off topic message preface with the letters “OT”, anyone who has chosen not to receive OT messages does not get them.

Worried about SPAM?

The software checks to make sure that the message was sent from a registered user and additional space for users to enter emails from the different addresses from which they typically send has been provided.

Reach More People Without Repeat Messages

If you want to reach a larger crowd, you can send to multiple lists. Just add the lists to the TO: box in your email program, compose your message, and hit send. Users that are on more than one list receive only one message even if they are members of several of the groups the message was sent to. This also saves the sender from having to send multiple messages to different groups.

Coming Soon!

Automatic Account Maintenance

Accounts with bad email addresses are automatically deleted, saving administrators the trouble of doing it manually and reducing bounced messages. After three bounces, an account is eliminated.

All this is in addition to Community Web’s suite of existing tools:

-Send broadcast email to your community.

-Send pages to an entire community or individual members only.

-Copy officers in nearby associations on messages to your community (such as crime alerts or PTA initiatives).

-Find and email or call other association officers in any area you choose.

-Find community members and call or email them.

-Find neighbors with similar interests or kids the same age and call or email them.

-Buy or sell on the classifieds (with photos) and call or email sellers.

-Be notified of yard sales in your zip code automatically by email.

-Receive notice of permit applications on your street by email.

-Receive a summary of permit applications in your community area (admin only).

Coming soon! Community Subgroups!

Your members will be able to join subgroups such as clubs or PTA activities with one click. Subgroup administrators will be able to create and provide forms for their members and manage information, as well as collect dues or fees.
